Saint Blaise |

Blaise was the bishop of Sebaste (Minor Asia), Doctor, orginating from
Armenia he was martyrised in 316. He is one of the famest thaumaturgist
of the christendom, well known to cure throat pain, he protects sowings,
flocks and shepherds too.
During enlargement of the church in the XVth century, Saint Blaise became the patron of the church and the parish. It is only in 1915 that the church and the parish came back under advowson of Our Lady of Assumption. |

No reason can exactly explain
why the advowson changed. Perhaps it's because Saint Blaise was worshiped
to fight against the epidemics who decimated the cattle.
In 1915 the bishop decided that Our Lady of Assumption will definitely be the patroness of the church and the parish. Feast the 3th Février. |
